Voyage Charter by CAF Auction is ideal or homogeneous dry cargoes like iron ore, coal, pot ash, grains, sugar, fertiliser, timber, concentrates, salt, clinker, aggregates, gypsum and more.

Online Auction Capability  

No more collating endless email, text or phone messages to confirm a deal. Charterers set up auction-based trades stating their requirements in standardized routes; ship owners submits an offer and potentially counters, underpinned by price floors. CAF then manages the intricacies of the trade in minutes - not days, and automates the negotiation exchange until you both agree. CAF then records all bids and final price and generates the contract on the spot.  

 

Satellite Vessel Tracking

No more relying on estimates. With CAF’s AIS (Automatic Identification System), charterers can see exactly where each vessel is, at the start of the trade, through negotiation and at completion - and make decisions based on fact, in real time. You can also do daily trades where rate and date are required from pre-approved counter parties. You can give your clients access too, so they can see vessel ETAs and ETDs and be fully prepared. 

 

Customised 

Dashboard

No need to trawl multiple systems to get the facts. You can customise CAF’s dashboard to show only those ships that meet your other parameters (draft, cranes, speed etc.) and those ship owners that meet your minimum ranking (reliability, punctuality, rating etc.) so you can trade with the right parties, in real time reducing the time and delays waiting for counters that may not exist.

No more ambiguities. CAFs let you see and amend all the details before you confirm, including Subjects, vessel Substitution and Vessel Nomination. You can upload vessel certificates, terminal questionnaires, vessel images and amend the Charter Party, and CAF will generate the Recap and updated Charter Party automatically.

Collating all data in one platform, CAF lets you compare voyages and trade volumes year-on-year, assess your trades, volumes and safety and check volumes with counter parties, as well as create a management report with full trading history. CAF’s Voyage and Distance Calculator links across all modules.  You can calculate voyages for full and part cargoes and for multiple load and discharge ports, calculate the global distance with ECAs (Emission Control Areas), and back-calculate demurrage rates for nominated discharge ports which may change during the voyage. You can also get live bunker pricing, including for LNG fuelled vessels for 2021-2022.
